As the founder of Our World Music, my vision of creating a free resource for students to enrich their foundation in music and cultivate their unique voices is borne out of my life experience as a young woman of Indian descent. Not only this, but giving back to my community is a top priority as it is how I initially discovered my love for music.

For the past six years, I have actively engaged in many activities from the Speech and Debate team to my own club called Youth Health Club (providing education and support for persons living with Type 1 Diabetes). I am trained in Hindustani classical music and Tabla. I also am classically trained in Western-style singing of several genres and piano. I am a singer/songwriter and someone who loves to perform on any stage. I have won many awards in singing competitions across multiple categories and love to contribute my time as a volunteer to spread the love of music. Through my exposure to these diverse music genres, leadership opportunities, and speaking opportunities, I have found my voice and strive to empower others, particularly young women, to find their voice.
 

I plan to attend college in the fall of 2023 to study women and gender studies (and related fields), to gain knowledge, and to have experiences through which I can empower students to find their voice.
